WINTER PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE
WPI was formed by two passionate snowboarders who are driven to share their experience, knowledge and life long love of the sport with the next generation of young riders. What makes Winter Performance stand out is simply the fact that both founders come from such different snowboarding backgrounds.
One was traveling the world for years competing in snowboard freestyle events at the highest level possible and is now coaching promising young athletes, while the other works as a snowboard instructor and snowboardcross coach and is now examiner for future snowboard instructors.
That makes it the perfect symbiosis of freeride (on and off slope), freestyle (slopestyle/big air/halfpipe) and sbx (boardercross). Depending on the athletes wishes and needs we at WPI are able to shift the main objective between those three. The training schedule and intensity of training on and off snow depends on the goals the riders want to achieve.
The ambition of WPI is to help dedicated young riders to take their skills to the next level and having fun while doing so!
Accommodating both mid and elite level athletes, WPI offers private coaching, high-performance camps, tailored coaching solutions and professional athlete services.
The primary focus of winterperformance are snowboard camps in January and April (3 - 4 weeks) in the northern hemisphere. Our areas of choice are Colorado (USA) and British Columbia (Canada).
Since it is our strong conviction that small group sizes are key to quick improvement and amazing experience, every coach is riding with a total of 5 kids only.
